Mapbox
MapBox is a mapping startup that offers users a platform for making custom maps based on OpenStreetMap and other open data, using open source project TileMill.
OpenStreetMap
OpenStreetMap (OSM) is a collaborative project to create a free editable map of the world. Two major driving forces behind the establishment and growth of OSM have been restrictions on use or availability of map information across much of the world and the advent of inexpensive portable satellite navigation devices.
jQuery
jQuery is a multi-browser (cf. cross-browser) JavaScript library designed to simplify the client-side scripting of HTML. It was released in January 2006 at BarCamp NYC by John Resig. It is currently developed by a team of developers led by Dave Methvin. Used by over 65% of the 10,000 most visited websites, jQuery is the most popular JavaScript library in use today.
Bootstrap
Bootstrap is a free collection of tools for creating websites and web applications. It contains HTML and CSS-based design templates for typography, forms, buttons, navigation and other interface components, as well as optional JavaScript extensions.
Flot
Flot is a pure JavaScript plotting library for jQuery, with a focus on simple usage, attractive looks and interactive features.
Leaflet
Leaflet is a modern open-source JavaScript library for mobile-friendly interactive maps, a popular option for deploying your own Slippy Map.
Foursquare
Foursquare is a location-based social networking website for mobile devices, such as smartphones. Users "check in" at venues using a mobile website, text messaging or a device-specific application by selecting from a list of venues the application locates nearby. Location is based on GPS hardware in the mobile device or network location provided by the application, and the map is based on data from the OpenStreetMap project. Each check-in awards the user points and sometimes "badges". The user who checks in the most often to a venue becomes the "mayor", and users regularly vye for "mayorships".
Google Places
The Google Places API is a service that returns information about Places — defined within this API as establishments, geographic locations, or prominent points of interest — using HTTP requests. Place requests specify locations as latitude/longitude coordinates.
Greece Administrative Boundaries
Collaborative OSM relations on administrative boundaries of Greece.
